The shooting can be done at any time in the 3 hours. It generally takes 20 minutes to complete the shooting requirement -

South Dakota now offers an Enhanced CCW permit which is  reconized and acceted by Minnesota as well as all the states that recognoze the regular CCW permit. More states are expected to offer reciprocity with South Dakota in the near future. There are only 62 trained instructors in the entire state. I am one of those and offer classes in Lincoln County SD. You must be a 30 day resident of the state, attend a classroom training and fire 98 rounds of live fire witnessed by the instructor. You will also be required to get 2 finger print cards completed at the local Sheriff's office and submit them to the Department of Criminal Investigation records division for a background check.
